The tip ladder is successfully in operation for a few months now and DNV-GL certified. The tip ladder adds 2 meters to the operational range of the gangway and is kept stable by position control.

Furthermore, the tip ladder allows for landing over existing structures such as railings where a typical push/force-controlled landing is not possible.
