Van der Ploeg in Leeuwarden has received the contract for fabrication of the steel structures of the first Barge Master. The fabrication of the three foundation containers is currently ongoing. The foundations form the interface with the vessel or barge by distributing the cylinder forces over the deck. The foundation containers will be certified as DNV mobile offshore units to allow safe and easy transport and handling.
